CapitaLand Mall Trust, formerly CapitaMall Trust, is a Singapore-based real estate investment trust (REIT). The Trust’s principal activity is to own and invest in income producing real estate, which is used or substantially used for retail purposes with the primary objective of achieving returns from rental income and for long term capital growth. It owns and invests in assets which are used, or predominantly used, for retail purposes in Singapore. The Trust's portfolio comprises a list of over 3,000 leases with local and international retailers. Its portfolio comprises 16 shopping malls, which are located in the suburban areas and downtown of Singapore. The Trust also has interests in CapitaRetail China Trust, a China shopping mall REIT. The Trust is managed by an external manager, CapitaMall Trust Management Limited, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of CapitaMalls Asia Limited, a shopping mall developer, owner and manager in Asia.
