Robert Redford transformed Hollywood in more ways than one.

The actor, who died Tuesday at the age of 89, made some of the biggest and most memorable movies of the latter half of the 20th century, but his championing of the Sundance Film Festival may have had a more lasting effect on how Hollywood does business.
