Its lead product candidate, VP-102, is a drug-device combination of topical solution of cantharidin. The Company also intends to develop second cantharidin-based product candidate, VP-103, for the treatment of plantar warts. The Company has completed one Phase II clinical trial of topical solution of cantharidin administered with the wooden stick part of a cotton-tipped swab. It also conducting another Phase II clinical trial of topical solution of cantharidin administered through applicator, which collectively refer to as VP-102, for the treatment of molluscum.
